Hello,

I have a h1b stamping appointment at the Chennai Consulate on the 29th of Nov.

I am in my 7th yr of h1b.My 3 yr extension has been approved based on aprroved I-140.

I have a question on the approved I-140.I do not have the original I-797 for my I-140 approval.

Will I need it for the interview?

I have the original I-797 for the h1b extension approval but not for the I-140.I only have a copy.

My company immigration team said its not needed.

is this correct?

Hello

I am working in the US on H1-B visa, and would like to start a company which would develop iphone applications which would have accompanying websites where people would register and pay a monthly service fee.

I have read the various forums and it appears that I can be a passive investor in the company and not assume any role or work for the company even in a volunteer fashion.

I would like to however fulfill my entrepreneurial dream and would like to take on the role on the CEO of the company. So, can I start the company in India (my country of birth) e take on the role of the CEO and then start a company over here as a passive investor and then do the leg work for expanding the business in US.

Please advise.

Most of these employers have a standard templates for H1 application and all they do is FIND & REPLACE to modify it to suit each individual applicant. In my case the person who was modifying it for me changed my Name in most places except one place where it was still saying the name of some other person. So the application was like this

This is visa petition for Mr XXX ..............
Mr XXX has degree in MS Comp Sci and Mr ABC has finished his undergraduate in .....

I had not seen this till the day I was leaving for Canada for my stamping & I panicked but then there was not much I could do so I decided to take a chance and the VO did not ask me for the petition and even if he has I am not sure how keenly he would have read it. It was a genune oversight not any falsification and definately I was not to be held responsible. But in your case since it is degree issue it is better to talk to a lawyer though statistically VO does not have time to read through the visa peition its just too long for the time they have allocated for the interview.

This is the reply I got back from my attorney.

My case was filed in Texas Center but Texas couldn't process all the applications so they shipped some of them to California to do initial data entry. Now that California has finished with initial entry, they are sending it back to Texas.

No. No. No. No. Your spouse can do anything with that EAD. Your spouse can do multiple jobs but once your spouse starts using EAD spouse's H-1 gets void.Me and my spouse both work on H1B and I am applying for I-485 along with EAD/AP for both me and my spouse. My question is since my spouse is already in H1B with certain job title which was mentioned in one of the documents that was filled with i-485, when spouse uses EAD does she need to be looking for similiar jobs only?. Please clarify. Thanks in advance.

Need a web designer

I'm looking for a web designer that could possibly help me redsign my website. I need him/her to be pretty familiar with Flash and animation.

Website will contain:
-photo gallery (photos provided)
-video clips (videos provided)
-community member profiles
-membership "join" form
-graphic effects
-guest book
-music/sound effects
-a lot of animation and graphic motion

The site will be formatted a little differently from normal sites, so be ready for a long explanation when you contact me. It's going to be a personal website and I have a fairly low budget. Employer needs to stop smoking weed and concentrate on work. Jokes apart there was no such proposal ever in pipeline so there is no way anything like this ever was approved. 6 year limit on H1 is a law that cannot be changed by admin process. It needs to pass house & senate. Also 6 year limit makes lot of people go back to home countries and uncle sam can consume their SS & Medicare taxes.

2 - H1 & L1 VISA timming duration are counted together for H1B period. I have already went thru this cycle.
3 - Advise to stay on L1A, apply green card and switch to H1B as soon as you are eligible for H1B extention beyond 6 year.

Hello,
I do not think Swift 3D has a wireframe export features, but you can press the Print Screen button and paste the image into an image editor. You will be able to manipulate it like you would any other image. That is the best way that I know of doing it. You could also import the Swift 3D swf into Flash, and let Flash export the movie as a sequence of images.

Hi Everyone

I am filling out my i-485 and I had a couple of questions.

A) What is the Expires On field in Part 1 referring to (right under the I-94#)?
Is it the actual expiry of my Visa (as printed on the Visa) or the date written on my I-94?

B) In part 3 it asks which consulate the Visa was issued. I got it at the American embassy in Oslo. I assume this is what they want to know. Could anyone reassure me?

C) In part 3b I list my wife who is an American. I assume that I should leave her A# blank. Is this correct? I also kinda think I read somewhere that even though it says middle initial (also in 3b) you should actually list the entire middle name? Is there any truth to this?

Canada has been using this for skilled worker program, where individuals can apply for Canadian permanent residency independently if they fullfill the passmark. Other countries like Australia, UK and New Zealand also follow suit with different types of difficulties.

How about US? Would US adopt this?

Point system can be adopted but either way it has to be strict so that
the eligible people are lesser, like giving points for work exp in US etc(onL1
or H1b).
Aust system is also pretty strict and only people who are working/studying in Aust can qualify.

Any system that delinks the employer - GC sponsering system will reduuce the problems to some extent. but retrogression will be there if
too many people apply.
